“Cada año, en el Día de los Muertos, se cree que las almas de los difuntos vuelven, alentados por altares adornados con flores aromáticas como las caléndulas, sus comidas o bebidas favoritas, velas, y fotografías de los difuntos en vida.”

Este altar muestra ofrendas y artesanía de las dos secciones de Español 4CL. Estos estudiantes hallaron inspiración en motivos tradicionales y en sus propias visiones artísticas. Su trabajo se basa en su estudio de la mitología y sociedad de Mesoamérica. Que este altar sirva como ejemplo de su aprendizaje y como recuerdo vivo de sus seres queridos.**

“Each year on the Day of the Dead, the souls of departed loved ones are said to return, encourages by altars bearing the fragrant blooms of flowers such as marigolds, their favorite foods or drinks, flickering candles, and photographs or other images of the loved one in life.”

This altar features offerings and artwork from the two Spanish 4CL sections. These students found inspiration in traditional motifs and in their own artistic vision. They based their work on their study of Mesoamerican mythology and society. May this altar serve as an example of their learning and a living memory of their loved ones.*
